ASPE Golden Gate Chapter 2- Dinner Meeting

Presentation by:
Erich M. Schoenkopf the founder and President of Vertigraph, Inc.
Erich has booked a flight and will be able to speak at our ASPE Chapter 2 meeting on February 20, 2008. He plans on discussing various aspects of the takeoff and estimating process including:
1. Takeoff from paper plans
2. Takeoff from vector and CAD files by digitizing items on-screen
3. Takeoff quantities being obtained directly from BIM
4. Specialized on-screen takeoff tools for site excavation.
5. Programs used for estimating (i.e. costing) - Databases or Spreadsheets what is best?
6. Discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of relational database and spreadsheet programs
7. Demonstration of Vertigraph's various takeoff tools including BidScreen XL, BidPoint XL and SiteWorx/OS
